un dó, founded in 2011 by Monika Smekot and Iraya Noble, is a performance duo rooted in honesty, self-discovery, and connection. Drawing from a variety of techniques and approaches, they distill elements that resonate in the present moment, transforming them into choreographic material that tells their stories. Their work creates a safe, authentic space to express themselves fully, embrace vulnerability, and discover joy.

Iraya Noble

Dance Artist, Performer, and Teacher

Born in Uruguay and raised in the Canary Islands, Iraya Noble is a versatile dance artist with a foundation in Classical Ballet and Contemporary Dance, trained between Spain and the UK. Holding a degree in Environmental Science and certified as a Shiatsu practitioner, she integrates a holistic approach into her work.

Iraya’s exploration of movement spans Contact Improvisation, Physical Theatre, Aikido, Capoeira, Flamenco, and Egyptian dance. During her time in Edinburgh, she collaborated with various choreographers, further shaping her creative voice. With a passion for rhythm and blending dance forms, Iraya develops a unique movement language, infusing her work with rich textures and dynamic expression.​
